Cavaliers hope for return to form against Warriors

Nov 6, 2007 - 2:39 PM Cleveland (1-2) at Golden State (0-3) 10:30 pm EST

OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers haven't looked like the team that went to the NBA Finals last season during the early stages of the 2007-08 campaign.

The Cavaliers try to get back to their championship form on Tuesday when they take on the Golden State Warriors.

Cleveland, which lost to the San Antonio Spurs during the 2007 Finals, has struggled to find offense, averaging just 92.0 points.

LeBron James has carried the offense and scored 45 points during the Cavs' only win against the New York Knicks on Friday. The 22-year-old superstar has averaged 27.3 points, 6.3 assists and 5.7 rebounds this season.

Scoring shouldn't be a problem for Cleveland on Tuesday, as the Warriors allow a league-worst 123.3 points.

Golden State, which hasn't begun the season 0-4 since 2004-05, is playing worse defense than last season when it allowed 106.7 points per game - the most allowed by any team over the last 10 seasons.
