Shorthanded Bobcats look to overcome first loss

Nov 7, 2007 - 3:09 PM Charlotte (2-1) at Philadelphia (1-2) 7:00 pm EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- It took just one day for the Charlotte Bobcats to experience two losses.

Likely without injured point guard Raymond Felton, the Bobcats head to the Wachovia Center on Wednesday to meet the Philadelphia 76ers.

Charlotte suffered its first loss of the season Tuesday, a 115-83 drubbing at the hands of the Phoenix suns.

But the more important loss may have been Felton, who suffered a nasty knee injury near the end of the third quarter. After getting tangled between a pair of defenders while driving to the basket, Felton dropped to the floor after attempting a free throw.

Charlotte's leader in scoring and assists over the first two games, Felton underwent postgame X-rays and an MRI, all of which turned up negative. The Bobcats still are listing him as a game-time decision for Wednesday.

The 76ers hope to bounce back from a 93-88 setback to the New Jersey Nets in Saturday's home opener.

Poor shooting played a key role in the loss, as the Sixers hit 3-of-15 3-point attempts and shot just 66 percent from the free throw line.

Andre Iguodala scored 16 points while Kyle Korver chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds for Philadelphia, which has is 5-1 all-time against the Bobcats here.
