Bobcats look to rebound against Pacers after pair of blowout losses

Nov 9, 2007 - 2:26 PM Indiana (3-1) at Charlotte (2-2) 7:00 pm EST

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- So much for the quick start of the Charlotte Bobcats.

Charlotte aims to halt a two-game losing streak when it faces the Indiana Pacers on Friday.

After getting off to the first 2-0 start in the four-year history of the franchise, the Bobcats were routed in their last two games, including 94-63 setback at the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.

It was the second straight loss by more than 30 points for Charlotte, who saw point guard Raymond Felton injured in Tuesday's 115-83 loss to the Phoenix Suns.

Without Felton, the Bobcats turned the ball over 29 times and missed all 13 shots from 3-point range. Charlotte avoided a record-low point total with a late basket to surpass the 62 it scored against Houston on December 8, 2006.

The Bobcats are averaging only 84.5 points per game.

Danny Granger led Indiana with 16 points in a 104-89 home loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.

The contest with the Bobcats will be the second for the Pacers since losing center Ike Diogu from four to six weeks with a torn left calf muscle. Diogu played in three games, averaging 13.7 points and 4.3 rebounds.

Indiana is 7-3 all-time vs. Charlotte.
