Nuggets looking for second straight victory

Nov 10, 2007 - 2:22 PM Denver (3-3) at Indiana (3-2) 7:00 pm EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Denver Nuggets have been on a series of streaks from the outset of the season. With a three-game losing streak halted, they will look to extend their winning ways against the Indiana Pacers on Saturday.

Even with four starters arriving to the game less than an hour before tip-off, Denver had little problems in extending the Washington Wizards' season-opening losing streak to five games.

Carmelo Anthony scored 32 points, while Marcus Camby added 13, 12 rebounds and seven assists in the Nuggets' 118-92 victory on Friday. Denver won its first two games before the three-game losing streak. J.R. Smith had 16 points against the Wizards.

Indiana, which has dropped two straight after a 3-0 start, is coming off a 96-87 loss at Charlotte on Friday. Jermaine O'Neal scored 18 points, Troy Murphy 16 and Danny Granger added 15 for the Pacers, who were outscored, 24-4, in the first eight minutes of the final quarter.

O'Neal, plagued by foul trouble, was held to seven rebounds as Indiana led 73-65 entering the fourth, but went scoreless for nearly five minutes. In the two-game losing streak, Indiana has been outscored by 39 points with O'Neal on the floor.

Pacers guard Marquis Daniels is expected to play after sitting out Friday's game with a sore left knee.
