Hill faces former team as Suns visit Magic

Nov 10, 2007 - 2:24 PM Phoenix (4-2) at Orlando (5-1) 7:00 pm EST

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) - It will be a reunion of sorts for Grant Hill when the Phoenix Suns visit the Orlando Magic on Saturday.

Hill, who spent six injury-plagued seasons in Orlando, signed a one-year, $1.83 contract with the Suns in the offseason.

The 13-year veteran helped the Magic reach the playoffs for the first time in four campaigns last season. Hill would like nothing more than to help the Suns put an end to his former team's four-game winning streak.

The 35-year-old Hill, who has missed 128 games due to various injuries since the 2003-04 season, is averaging 11.4 points and 5.8 rebounds this season.

Phoenix, which has won eight of the last 10 meetings, is coming off a 106-101 triumph over Miami on Friday.

Two-time MVP Steve Nash scored 30 points and Amare Stoudemire hetted just nine in his first action after missing three games because of knee pain. However, he was ejected in the third quarter when he received a second technical foul.

Hill scored 11 points in the win to reach double figures for the fourth time in five games.

The seven-time All-Star will see a lot of familiar faces across the court, one of which will be All-Star forward Dwight Howard. Howard scored 20 points and grabbed 22 rebounds to lead the Magic to a 112-102 victory over the New York Knicks on Friday.

It was the seventh career 20-20 game for Howard, who is averaging 18.8 points and 13.0 rebounds.
