Hornets aim to get back on track vs. 76ers

Nov 11, 2007 - 2:04 PM New Orleans (4-2) at Philadelphia (2-3) 6:00 pm EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The New Orleans Hornets are hoping to get things back on track when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.

After starting the season with four straight wins, New Orleans has dropped lost two in a row, including Friday's 97-85 setback to the San Antonio Spurs.

"We've taken a couple of steps back here with these two losses," Hornets forward David West said. "We didn't approach the Portland game with the right mindset. In the Spurs, you are dealing with a team that has got really, really good players who understand their roles.

"You almost have to play a perfect game to beat them or even give yourself a chance to win."

Peja Stojakovic's poor performance could be pointed to as the cause of the Hornets' recent slide, averaging just 3.5 points in those contests.

Philadelphia is also coming off a slim defeat, a 105-103 loss to the Toronto Raptors.

Sixers swingman Willie Green continues to be inconsistent and may be challenge for playing time due to third-year guard Louis Williams development. Williams scored a season-high 21 points off the bench in Friday's setback.

The 76ers won both meetings from the Hornets last season.
