Celtics look to remain unbeaten against Pacers

Nov 13, 2007 - 2:41 PM Boston (5-0) at Indiana (3-3) 7:00 pm EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics' "Big Three" have not disappointed this season, leading their team to its best start in 20 years.

Superstars Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen look to help the Celtics stay undefeated Tuesday when they face the Indiana Pacers.

Garnett, Pierce and Allen are off to a hot start, averaging a combined 68.8 points, 13.8 assists and 24.6 rebounds per game. The trio has lifted Boston to its best start since 1987-88, when the Celtics started 7-0 en route to an appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals.

During the Celtics' last contest against the New Jersey Nets, Pierce led the way with 28 points, Allen scored 27 and Garnett registered his fifth double-double en route to a 112-101 victory on Saturday night.

While the Celtics have yet to lose a game, the Pacers have dropped three straight contests after beginning the season with three consecutive wins.

Indiana held a 25-point lead in the second quarter against the Denver Nuggets in their last game on Saturday. But despite double-doubles from Jermaine O'Neal and Troy Murphy, the Pacers suffered a 113-106 setback at home.
