Wade-less Heat seeks revenge against Bobcats

Nov 13, 2007 - 2:58 PM Miami (1-5) at Charlotte (3-3) 7:00 pm EST

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The Miami Heat did not have Dwyane Wade the first time they played the Charlotte Bobcats. They likely will have to meet their Southeast Division foe once again without their superstar.

The Heat aim to exact a measure of revenge against the Bobcats without Wade on Tuesday.

Recovering from offseason operations on his shoulder and knee, Wade has missed Miami's first six games this season.

"Of course I want to be out there," Wade said. "I am not saying I am going to be 100 percent when I come back. I am just waiting for the time that it feels good and that is the way I am. It is a matter of stiffness and getting my conditioning level back."

The Heat finally picked up their first win of the campaign Sunday, rallying for a 75-72 victory over the New York Knicks.

Miami certainly missed Wade's late-game ability on November 4, when they dropped a 90-88 decision to the Bobcats.

Newcomer Jason Richardson scored a season-high 29 points for Charlotte while Raymond Felton added 19 and seven assists in the victory.

After winning their first two games of the season, the Bobcats have since lost three of their last four outings, including Sunday's 85-82 home loss to the Houston Rockets.

The Bobcats have won three consecutive meetings with Miami.
