Roy, Blazers aim to push winning streak to four games

Nov 13, 2007 - 5:44 PM Detroit (5-1) at Portland (3-3) 10:00 pm EST

PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) - The Portland Trail Blazers will look to extend their winning streak when the Detroit Pistons come calling on Tuesday.

Brandon Roy poured in a season-high 32 points and Travis Outlaw was huge off the bench as Portland pushed its undefeated streak to three games with Saturday's 91-82 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

The most interesting matchup should be LaMarcus Aldridge and former Blazer Rasheed Wallace, who was traded to Atlanta in February of 2004 before eventually landing in Detroit.

A second-year forward, Aldridge's ability to shoot over the top of bigger defenders could be challenged by Wallace's long reach and defensive presence. Aldridge is averaging 20 points during streak.

Detroit opened its five-game tour of the Western Conference with Sunday's 107-103 triumph over the Seattle SuperSonics with Richard Hamilton leading the way with 32 points.

Pistons reserve forward Antonio McDyess had 15 points and 15 rebounds en route to his first double-double this season in the win.

Portland and Detroit split their two meetings a season ago, with both teams protecting home-court advantage.
