Magic look for fifth straight road victory
Nov 14, 2007 - 1:55 PM Orlando (6-2) at Cleveland (4-4) 7:00 pm ESTCLEVELAND (Ticker) - The Orlando Magic look to remain unbeaten on the road Wednesday when they face LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Orlando is coming off a 103-76 home victory over Seattle on Tuesday, handing the SuperSonics their eighth loss in as many games.
Rashard Lewis scored 22 points against his former team as the Magic, 4-0 on the road, won despite committing 26 turnovers. Dwight Howard finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Hedo Turkoglu scored 17 points and Keith Bogans 16.
Cleveland is coming off a 122-100 loss Monday to the Denver Nuggets. It was the Cavaliers' sixth game in 10 days and ended the possibility of the first winning six-game road trip to the West in 22 years.
James led Cleveland with 27 points, but the Nuggets were able to contain the rest of the Cavaliers. Cleveland struggled offensively, shooting 42 percent from the field. The Cavaliers, who lost guard Larry Hughes to a pair of technical fouls in the second quarter, missed 17 free throws and allowed the most points since surrendering 120 to Philadelphia on November 19, 2005.
Orlando went 2-1 against Cleveland last season with the teams splitting a pair of games in Cleveland. The all-time series, which began in the 1989-90 season, is tied 33-33.
