Grizzlies aim for consecutive wins, face Bucks

Nov 14, 2007 - 2:10 PM Memphis (2-4) at Milwaukee (2-4) 8:00 pm EST

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Memphis Grizzlies aim for their first winning streak of the season on Wednesday when they face the Milwaukee Bucks.

Thanks to a solid outing from Darko Milicic, Memphis put an end to its two-game slide with Tuesday's 105-99 victory over the Houston Rockets.

Milicic's 20-point performance showed signs of comfort within Memphis coach Mark Iavaroni's system. Taken second overall in 2003, Milicic had scored in double figures only once prior to Tuesday's matchup.

Memphis swingman Mike Miller is looking to shake off his slow start to the season after reaching the 20-point plateau just once. He averaged a career-best 18.5 points last season.

The Bucks enter with two consecutive losses, including Saturday's 113-88 setback to the San Antonio Spurs. Mo Williams led the way for the Bucks, scoring 17 points on 8-of-14 shooting.

Milwaukee rookie Yi Jianlian has reached double digits in each of his previous four games. Despite his solid performance, Yi can't let his guard down as teammates Charlie Villanueva and Bobby Simmons continue to fight for minutes in the starting lineup.

The Bucks won three of the four meetings from the Grizzlies last season.
