Kings shoot for second straight upset win

Nov 20, 2007 - 4:26 PM Phoenix (8-2) at Sacramento (4-6) 10:00 pm EST

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- After opening the season with nine uninspiring outings, the Sacramento Kings offered a glimpse of hope with an upset win in their 10th contest.

The Kings shoot for their second straight surprise win Tuesday when they host the Phoenix Suns.

Sacramento won just three of its first nine games - over Seattle, Minnesota and New York - teams with a combined 5-24 record.

However, the Kings improved to 4-1 at home when they ousted the Detroit Pistons, 105-95, on Sunday.

Kevin Martin, the league's second-leading scorer, managed just 19 points for the Kings.

But Sacramento received a brilliant performance from guard Beno Udrih, who finished with 23 points and six assists.

The Kings may be hard-pressed to slow down the high-powered Suns, who enter with a five-game winning streak.

Phoenix used a balanced attack Saturday to top the Houston Rockets, 115-105.

Amare Stoudemire scored 21 points on 8-of-8 shooting and grabbed 13 rebounds while Steve Nash chipped in 19 points and 15 assists for the Suns, who shot 62 percent (43-of-69) from the floor.
