Cavaliers look to turn things around vs. Timberwolves

Nov 21, 2007 - 2:50 PM Cleveland (5-6) at Minnesota (1-7) 8:00 pm EST

MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- LeBron James is the NBA's top scorer. Unfortunately, his Cleveland Cavaliers have not joined him in the penthouse.

The Cavaliers look to get back to the .500 mark Wednesday when they head to the Target Center to meet the woeful Minnesota Timberwolves.

James, who is averaging a league-leading 29.6 points per game, is averaging 35 points over his last four games.

But the Cavaliers have dropped three of those contests. Cleveland, which represented the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals last season, is coming off a 111-107 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.

James had 34 points, seven assists and seven rebounds against the Bucks and is averaging a triple-double over his last three games, posting 37.7 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

The Cavaliers have a chance to get things headed in the right direction against the Timberwolves, who have lost two straight since collecting a 108-103 win over the Sacramento Kings last Wednesday.

Minnesota has allowed 100 points in six straight games, a streak that does not bode well for the league's seventh-lowest scoring offense at 94 points per game.
