Bryant looks to carry Lakers to fifth straight win

Nov 21, 2007 - 3:11 PM LA Lakers (7-3) at Milwaukee (5-4) 8:00 pm EST

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Perhaps the Los Angeles Lakers have changed Kobe Bryant's mind with their recent strong play.

Bryant and the red-hot Lakers shoot for their fifth straight win Wednesday when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks.

Amid various reports involving trade demands and his disappointment with the Lakers, Bryant scored 30 points Tuesday to lead Los Angeles to a convincing 134-114 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

"We executed extremely well," Bryant said. "Everybody did a good job of being ready on defense. We played very unselfishly."

A large part of the Lakers' recent success can be pointed in the direction of reserves Jordan Farmar and third-year big man Andrew Bynum.

Farmar is averaging 12.5 points during Los Angeles' winning streak while the 20-year-old Bynum has posted double-doubles in his last two games.

The Bucks also enter Wednesday's contest riding a streak of their own.

Michael Redd and Mo Williams dominated in the backcourt as Milwaukee pushed its winning streak to three straight with an 111-107 triumph over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday.

Redd scored 34 points and Williams chipped in 20 and nine assists for the Bucks, who are 4-0 at home this season.
