Mavericks eye more complete game vs. Pacers
Nov 23, 2007 - 4:00 PM Dallas (9-2) at Indiana (5-7) 8:00 pm ESTINDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Having won nine of their first 11 games, the Dallas Mavericks know they are good. They just wouldn't mind proving that earlier in their games.
The Mavericks continue their three-game road trip Friday when they travel to Conseco Fieldhouse to meet the Indiana Pacers.
Dallas won its fifth straight game - a 100-94 victory over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday. However, the Mavericks had to rally from a 17-point late third-quarter deficit to do so.
That comeback effort followed another one on Tuesday, when Dallas overcame a 24-point deficit to beat the Toronto Raptors, 105-99.
Meanwhile, the Pacers hope to defeat their second straight nine-win team after getting 23 points from Troy Murphy in a 105-93 win over the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday.
Murphy's performance was needed as Indiana kept Jermaine O'Neal out of the lineup after the center injured his knee Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Indiana has won two of three after dropping seven of its previous eight games.
