Heat meet Magic, former coach Van Gundy

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Two teams off to far different starts meet Saturday when the Orlando Magic host the Miami Heat.

While the Magic enter with the second-best record in the Eastern Conference, the Heat are tied with the New York Knicks for the worst mark in the conference.

Orlando is 8-2 against the East, while Miami is owns just a 2-6 mark.

Dwight Howard had 34 points, 17 rebounds and four blocks to lead Orlando to a 105-92 victory over Charlotte on Friday. It was his second straight game with at least 30 points.

Miami picked up its first home win in six tries Friday, posting a 98-91 triumph over Houston. Shaquille O'Neal had season highs of 26 points and 14 rebounds. Dwyane Wade also scored a season-high 31 points.

The game will be the first regular-season meeting between the Heat and former Miami coach Stan Van Gundy, who's in his first year with Orlando.
