Winning streak over, Wizards look to start anew
Nov 24, 2007 - 2:27 PM Washington (6-6) at Memphis (3-9) 8:00 pm ESTMEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Washington Wizards look to start a new winning streak when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.
Washington had its six-game winning streak stopped with Friday's 123-115 loss to Golden State.
Despite a triple-double by Caron Butler, the Wizards fell for the first time after three victories since losing All-Star point guard Gilbert Arenas for three months due to knee surgery.
Butler finished with 26 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, but it wasn't enough to push Washington two games over .500 for the first time this season.
Memphis is coming off a 101-88 loss to the NBA champion San Antonio Spurs on Friday. Mike Miller scored 14 points for Memphis and Pau Gasol added 12.
The Grizzlies have lost consecutive games and five of six overall.
The two teams split a pair of games last season, each winning at home.
