Rockets look to end slide against Nuggets

HOUSTON (Ticker) -- The Houston Rockets try to snap a six-game losing streak on Saturday when they host the Denver Nuggets.

Despite 20 points from Yao Ming and 19 from Tracy McGrady, the Rockets couldn't end their slide on Friday, suffering a 98-91 setback to the Miami Heat.

Houston has allowed over 100 points three times during the losing streak, which is uncharacteristic for a team that ranks fifth in the NBA, allowing just over 94.0 points per game.

However, the Rockets have struggled at the offensive end and are shooting just 43.1 percent from the field - sixth worst in the league.

The Nuggets had no trouble getting back on track in their last game on Friday, posting a 98-93 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Denver has won seven of its last eight games.
