Magic face Trail Blazers seeking third straight win
Nov 26, 2007 - 5:04 PM Orlando (12-3) at Portland (5-8) 10:00 pm ESTPORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic shoot for their third straight win Monday when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers.
One of the hottest teams in the NBA, the Magic have won seven of their last eight games.
Orlando coasted to a 120-99 victory over the Miami Heat on Saturday.
Hedo Turkoglu scored 27 points and made five 3-pointers while Howard added 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Magic.
The NBA's second-leading rebounder, Howard is averaging team highs of 23.4 points and 14.5 rebounds this season for Orlando, which owns the second-best record in the Eastern Conference.
Turkoglu also has been a big part of the Magic's success this season, averaging 18.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists.
The Blazers got back on track in their last game, snapping a five-game losing streak with a narrow 87-84 win over the Sacramento Kings on Friday. LaMarcus Aldridge led Portland with 28 points and 12 rebounds.
