Iguodala, 76ers send Bucks to first home loss

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Andre Iguodala and the Philadelphia 76ers had no problem ending the Milwaukee Bucks longest home winning streak in 16 years.

Iguodala scored 14 of his 20 points in the first half and Samuel Dalembert added 22 as the 76ers posted a 114-99 victory over the Bucks on Tuesday.

But the high-flying Iguodala helped end the winning streak as he shot 9-of-15 from the floor and had 11 assists for Philadelphia, which snapped its three-game losing streak and picked up just its second road win of the season.

"We milked our pick-and-roll at the end, and it opened things up for guys," Iguodala said. "We didn't have too many bad shots tonight, it was good to get everybody's confidence back up."

Michael Redd scored 17 for Milwaukee, which had won seven straight here for the first time since starting 18-0 at home during the 1990-91 season.

Kyle Korver scored 20 points off the bench in his first game back from a groin injury for the Sixers, who shot 52 percent (45-of-86) from the floor and assisted on 31 of their 45 field goals.

"It was good to be back, I really felt great," Korver said. "We had great balance inside with Sam that really opened things up for us outside."

A big reason for the high assist total was the play of Andre Miller, who nearly had a triple-double. The eighth-year guard had 18 points, nine assists and eight rebounds.

"Andre Miller, the way he controlled the game for us," Sixers coach Mo Cheeks said when asked about what fueled the win. "Everyone stepped in and did those little things we talked about. What a team effort."

Philadelphia forced 11 turnovers in the first quarter to jump out to a 32-18 lead and held a 56-52 advantage at the break.

"We gave them punches but they kept coming, you have to give them credit," said Bucks guard Mo Williams, who finished with 14 points and nine assists.

The Sixers then opened the second half on a 10-2 run, capped off by a 3-pointer by Willie Green that extended the lead back to 12 points at 66-54 with 8:42 left in the period. The Bucks never got closer than six points the rest of the way.

Milwaukee cut its deficit to 78-72 with 2:42 left in the third, but trailed by double digits the entire fourth quarter.

Charlie Villanueva scored 16 points and rookie Yi Jianlian added 13 for the Bucks, who shot 49 percent (37-of-75) from the floor.

"We just have to bounce back from this," Villanueva said. "No game is a given in the NBA, but we can't let this take away from what we've done so far."
