Lewis returns to Seattle as Magic visit Sonics
Nov 28, 2007 - 2:32 PM Orlando (13-3) at Seattle (2-13) 10:00 pm ESTSEATTLE (Ticker) - Rashard Lewis makes his return to Seattle on Wednesday when the Orlando Magic face the SuperSonics.
Lewis, who spent his first nine seasons with the SuperSonics, was acquired by the Magic in a sign-and-trade deal during the offseason after opting out of the final two years of his contract.
Seattle received a future conditional second-round draft pick as part of the deal, while Lewis signed a six-year, $118 million deal - the largest in franchise history and fourth highest in the NBA.
The 28-year-old forward has not disappointed this season, averaging 19.8 points and 4.9 rebounds. Lewis scored 22 points, helping the Magic to a 103-76 win over the Sonics on November 13.
The Sonics likely wish they had Lewis back as a loss on Wednesday would tie them with the 1967-68 team for the worst start in franchise.
Seattle is an NBA-worst 0-6 at home.
