Jackson, Warriors look to continue to surge against Kings

Nov 28, 2007 - 2:34 PM Golden State (6-7) at Sacramento (5-9) 10:00 pm EST

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) - After beginning the season 0-6, the Golden State Warriors have started to show signs of last season's team that upset the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the playoffs.

Golden State will be going for its seventh win in its last eight games when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.

Stephen Jackson missed the first seven games of the season due to a suspension, but has helped ignite the Warriors, scoring 22.2 points per game. The 6-9 forward scored 32 in Monday's 129-114 victory over the Phoenix Suns.

While the Warriors have gone 5-1 since Jackson's return, Baron Davis has been a constant for Golden State this season, leading the team with 24.4 points and 8.8 assists per game.

The Kings snapped a three-game skid with a 112-99 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday.

Kevin Martin leads Sacramento with 24.1 points per game and Ron Artest is averaging 21.8 points and 7.2 rebounds in the six games he's played since returning from a suspension.

Beno Udrih scored a career-high 27 points in Monday's victory and is averaging 16.0 points in six starts for Sacramento this season.

Golden State won three of the four meetings with Sacramento last season.
