Celtics look to get back on track vs. Knicks

Nov 29, 2007 - 2:04 PM New York (4-9) at Boston (11-2) 8:00 pm EST

BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics try to get back on track Thursday when they face the New York Knicks.

The Celtics lost for just the second time this season Tuesday, enduring a 109-104 overtime setback to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Ray Allen scored 29 points to pace the Celtics.

After opening the season with nine straight wins, the Celtics have lost two of their last five but still own the best record in the NBA and are the only team in the league with three players averaging more than 19 points.

The Knicks ended an eight-game losing streak with back-to-back wins against the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz in their last two games.

Stephon Marbury has combined for 47 points in the two victories while playing nearly 70 minutes overall.

Marbury appears to be back in the good graces of Isiah Thomas after the two feuded earlier this month.
