Trail Blazers searching for first road win vs. Mavericks

DALLAS (Ticker) -- The Portland Trail Blazers go for their first road win of the season on Friday when they visit the Dallas Mavericks.

The Trail Blazers are 0-7 on the road this season and have lost seven of their last eight overall. Portland suffered a 95-89 setback against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday - its second consecutive loss.

Brandon Roy, the 2006-07 NBA Rookie of the Year, scored just 10 points on 6-of-18 shooting from the field against the Pacers. The 23-year-old point guard has scored more than 16 points just once in his last six games.

"I don't think we are underacheiving but I think I'm underacheiving," Roy said following the loss. "It's tough right now. My teammates are playing well for us and I'm not helping us out."

The Mavericks snapped a three-game losing streak on Wednesday, claiming a 109-103 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

After suffering its first home loss of the season on Monday, Dallas got back on track against the Timberwolves, improving its home record to 7-1 this season.
