Grizzlies attempt to get to .500 at home against T-Wolves

Dec 1, 2007 - 2:12 PM Minnesota (2-12) at Memphis (5-10) 8:00 pm EST

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Memphis Grizzlies look to reach the .500 mark Saturday when they face the Minnesota Timberwolves.

While the Grizzlies are just 2-6 on the road, they are a somewhat respectable 3-4 at home.

Memphis should be rested entering this game since it has been off since Wednesday's 103-91 loss at the Toronto Raptors. Juan Carlos Navarro scored 15 points to pace the Grizzlies, who are 4-6 in their last 10 games.

On Friday, the banged-up Timberwolves played well for three quarters before falling apart in a 106-91 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

The Timberwolves played the game with a thin backcourt. Randy Foye (left kneecap injury) has been out all season and might be sidelined for another month, and Rashad McCants was a surprise scratch because of a sore right knee. Marko Jaric, who has replaced Foye as the starting point guard, sprained his right foot and left after the first quarter.

The Grizzlies won two of the three games between the teams last last season, but are 13-34 against the Timberwolves all-time.
