Adelman returns to Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- Rick Adelman makes his return to Sacramento on Saturday when the Houston Rockets face the Kings.

The most successful coach in franchise history, Adelman won 395 games during his tenure as Kings coach. Despite the Kings making the playoffs, he was fired after the 2006 season.

After sitting out last season, Adelman has endured an inconsistent first campaign with the Rockets, who are seeking their fourth win in five games.

Houston is coming off Thursday's 113-94 loss at Golden State.

Tracy McGrady always enjoys facing the Kings. The superstar averaged 35.0 points and 10.3 assists in three wins against Sacramento last season.

The Kings have lost four of their last five games, including a 103-96 setback to Golden State on Friday. Sacramento shot a season-low 35 percent (30-of-87).

Ron Artest averaged 27.7 points in the three loses to the Rockets in 2006-07.
