Nuggets look to keep offense rolling against Heat

Dec 2, 2007 - 2:17 PM Miami (4-11) at Denver (10-7) 8:00 pm EST

DENVER (Ticker) - The Denver Nuggets have had no trouble scoring points this season.

The Nuggets try to keep the offense rolling on Sunday when they host the Miami Heat.

Denver has scored over 120 points in eight of its 10 wins this season and are fifth in the NBA in scoring, averaging just over 105 points per game.

Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony combined for 50 points as Denver snapped a three-game losing streak with a 123-107 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.

Anthony has led the team in scoring this season, averaging 25.1 points. Iverson is a close second with 23.6 points but has really gotten his teammates involved in the scoring, averaging 7.2 assists.

The Heat have struggled to find consistency this season and have alternated wins and losses over their last seven games.

Jason Williams scored a season-high 22 points on Friday, but it wasn't enough as the Heat suffered a 95-85 setback to the Boston Celtics.
