Raptors hope to have Bosh back against Bobcats

Dec 3, 2007 - 3:26 PM Charlotte (6-9) at Toronto (9-8) 7:00 pm EST

TORONTO (Ticker) -- The Toronto Raptors have performed valiantly over the past three games without Chris Bosh. But that doesn't mean they couldn't use the help.

The Raptors hope to have Bosh back in the lineup Monday when they host the Charlotte Bobcats.

Bosh left last Wednesday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies with a groin strain, but the Raptors rallied for a 103-91 win.

With Bosh out again on Friday, Toronto managed to post a 91-82 victory over a Cleveland Cavaliers team that was missing All-Star LeBron James.

But the luck ran out on Saturday, as the Raptors dropped a 101-97 decision to the Washington Wizards.

Jason Kapono scored 23 points off the bench to lead the Raptors. But without Bosh on the inside, Toronto was abused by Washington forwards Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison, who combined for 57 points.

The Bobcats have dropped five straight games after losing, 111-95, to the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.

Defense has been the problem for Charlotte, which has not held an opponent under 96 points during the slide.
