Sixers look to continue recent dominance over Hawks

Dec 3, 2007 - 3:42 PM Atlanta (6-9) at Philadelphia (5-11) 7:00 pm EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Philadelphia 76ers look to continue their recent success against the Atlanta Hawks when the two teams meet on Monday at the Wachovia Center.

Philadelphia has won seven straight home meetings with Atlanta and has won eight of the last 10 overall. The Hawks have not won in Philadelphia since March 21, 2003.

But the Sixers have lost eight of their last 11 games this season, including a 94-92 overtime loss to New Jersey on Saturday.

Andre Iguodala scored 24 points to pace Philadelphia, which squandered a 16-point halftime lead.

Atlanta looks to rebound from Friday's 92-86 loss to the New Orleans Hornets, marking the seventh straight contest that the Hawks did not clear the 100-point plateau.

Marvin Williams scored 18 points for the Hawks, who have lost seven of their last 11 contests.
