Trail Blazers still looking for first road win

Dec 3, 2007 - 3:50 PM Portland (5-12) at Memphis (6-10) 8:00 pm EST

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Only three NBA teams have failed to win on the road this season. The Portland Trail Blazers are one of those teams.

The Trail Blazers shoot for their first road win of the season Monday when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies.

Portland enters the contest with an 0-9 road mark this season, joining the New York Knicks and Sacramento Kings as the only teams without a road win this season.

The Trail Blazers have lost four straight contests overall, including Sunday's 100-79 loss at San Antonio.

Martell Webster and reserve Travis Outlaw each scored 17 points for Portland, which has dropped nine of its last 10 contests.

Memphis evened its home record to 4-4 on Saturday as Rudy Gay scored 21 points and Mike Miller added 18 points and a season-high 14 rebounds in the Grizzlies' 109-80 victory over Minnesota.

The 29-point difference tied the fifth-largest winning margin in Memphis franchise history.
