Jazz face Kings seeking fourth straight win
Dec 4, 2007 - 2:42 PM Utah (13-5) at Sacramento (6-10) 10:00 pm ESTSACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) - With Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur back from injury, the Utah Jazz visit the Sacramento Kings seeking their fourth straight win on Tuesday.
Boozer scored 24 points and added 15 rebounds while Okur contributed 25 points and four 3-pointers as the Jazz registered a 110-101 victory over the Miami Heat on Monday. The win came after Jazz coach Jerry Sloan agreed to a one-year contract extension through the 2008-09 season earlier in the day.
Boozer missed Utah's previous game with a sprained right ankle while Okur sat out with a back injury. Despite the absence of their two big men, the Jazz won their eighth straight game at home with a 24-point rout of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Jazz are just 5-4 on the road this season and have lost three of their last four away from Energy Solutions Arena. Utah opens a three-game road trip against the Kings, before traveling to play the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs this weekend.
Utah needs a strong performance if it is to come away with a win over the Kings, who are 6-3 at home this season.
Sacramento has won two of its last three games - including a 107-99 victory over the Houston Rockets on Saturday as Ron Artest led the way with 26 points.
Artest makes his first appearence of the season against the Jazz after missing the Kings' last game against Utah earlier this season while serving a seven-game suspension.
