Pacers look to build off successful road trip

Dec 4, 2007 - 3:10 PM Phoenix (13-4) at Indiana (9-9) 7:00 pm EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) - The Indiana Pacers seem to be rebounding after a mid-November swoon.

After winning three of four games on a West Coast road trip, the Pacers host the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.

The recent stretch of good play for Indiana coincides with the return of All-Star center Jermaine O'Neal, who was sidelined for five games with a knee injury.

Though he returned for the team's only loss of the road trip to the Seattle SuperSonics on Friday, O'Neal recorded his second straight double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds in Monday's 101-95 win at the Los Angeles Clippers.

O'Neal has led Indiana in scoring the past six seasons and rebounding in each of the last two campaigns.

Phoenix will be striving for its 11th win in 13 games in large part due a resurgent year from Grant Hill, who scored a season-high 28 points in a 115-104 win at the New York Knicks on Sunday. His 15.6 points and 4.7 rebounds-per-game average with the Suns are his highest since the 2004-05 season.

Hill, who arrived as a free agent from Orlando after six injury-plagued seasons after playing only 200 out of a possible 492 regular season games as a member of the Magic, has yet to miss a contest with the Suns.
