Celtics try to stay perfect in Atlantic Division vs. 76ers

Dec 5, 2007 - 3:37 PM Boston (14-2) at Philadelphia (5-12) 7:00 pm EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics look to continue their Atlantic Division dominance on Wednesday when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Celtics are a perfect 4-0 against Atlantic Division opponents this season and are currently on a three-game win streak.

Boston continued its winning ways on Sunday, posting an 80-70 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, who were without superstar LeBron James. Ray Allen scored 20 points as the Celtics avenged a 109-104 overtime loss against the Cavaliers last Tuesday.

Allen was just 1-of-7 from 3-point range in the contest, well below his season average of 35.8 percent from beyond the arc. Allen has hit at least one 3-pointer in each of Boston's 16 games.

The 76ers, who are 0-4 against Atlantic Division foes, have lost back-to-back games against the New Jersey Nets and Atlanta Hawks.

Philadelphia took a 16-point lead into halftime against the Nets, but scored just 10 points in the third quarter en route to an overtime loss. Against the Hawks, the 76ers committed 17 turnovers and hit just 2-of-11 3-pointers, suffering an 88-79 loss on Monday.
