Sixers look to end three-game slide vs. Knicks

Dec 7, 2007 - 3:22 PM New York (6-11) at Philadelphia (5-13) 7:00 pm EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Philadelphia 76ers look to get things back in order when they welcome in the New York Knicks on Friday.

As one of the most disappointing teams in the Eastern Conference, the Sixers dropped their third straight game with Wednesday's 113-103 loss to the Boston Celtics.

Andre Miller collected 26 points and 12 assists for his first double-double of the season and Andre Iguodala scored 24 points in the loss for the 76ers.

On Tuesday, Philadelphia named Ed Stefanski as its new general manager and president, replacing the fired Billy King, who ran the franchise for 10-plus seasons.

The Sixers look to bounce back Friday against the Knicks, who picked up their first road win of the season Wednesday with a 100-93 victory over the New Jersey Nets.

Jamal Crawford collected 29 points and seven assists and Zach Randolph scored 25 for the Knicks, who played without point guard Stephon Marbury and center Eddy Curry.

Marbury missed the contest to attend his father's funeral while Curry was sidelined with a sprained ankle. Both players will be game-time decisions Friday.

"With stuff on the court and off, we haven't had the best week," Knicks forward David Lee said. "But this is a very positive thing, coming in here a little bit shorthanded and coming out with a victory on the road."
