Wallace, Bobcats aim to end six-game road slide

Dec 9, 2007 - 2:06 PM Charlotte (7-11) at Detroit (13-6) 6:00 pm EST

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) - The Charlotte Bobcats will try to build on their recent success on Sunday when they visit the Detroit Pistons.

Gerald Wallace did it on both ends of the court with 20 points, five blocks and four steals as the Bobcats snapped a seven-game losing streak with Saturday's 96-93 over Cleveland.

"We didn't want to lose this ballgame," Wallace said. "We knew if we just knocked down our free throws we'd be able to win this one."

The Bobcats are seeking to snap a six-game road losing streak. They are 1-6 overall away from home.

Detroit enters after enduring a 91-88 to the Chicago Bulls on Friday despite 51 combined points from its backcourt duo of Chauncey Billups and Richard Hamilton.

"When you are struggling to get anything going and one guy gets something going, you tend to keep going with him," Billups said. "But one guy isn't usually going to be enough."

Even with the loss, the Pistons still have one of the best home marks in the East at 6-2. Boston is an Eastern Conference-best 10-0 at home.

Charlotte and Detroit split four meetings last season.
