Iguodala, 76ers aim for third straight win

Dec 10, 2007 - 1:56 PM Houston (11-10) at Philadelphia (7-13) 7:00 pm EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) - The Philadelphia 76ers will try to push their winning streak to a season-high three games when they meet the Houston Rockets on Monday.

Willie Green scored 18 points and Andre Iguodala chipped in 17 as the Sixers completed a home-and-home sweep of the New York Knicks on Saturday at Madison Square Garden with a 105-77 thumping.

"We were just executing," 76ers forward Reggie Evans said. "I don't want to say we were playing harder than them, we were just playing hard."

Philadelphia hasn't put together three consecutive wins since April of last season, when it defeated Atlanta, Indiana and Boston.

Houston, meanwhile, had its two-game winning streak snapped, 93-80, at the hands of the Toronto Raptors on Sunday on the second stop of a three-game East Coast swing.

Tracy McGrady scored 23 points and Yao Ming was held to just 15 for the Rockets, who struggled to move the ball without starting point guard Rafer Alston (groin).

"Rafer is a big loss for us," McGrady said. "He provides a guy that controls the tempo. He's a great floor general, very smart basketball player and we kind of miss that."

The Sixers haven't won at home in the series in five tries.
