Nets hope to continue home success against Clippers

Dec 11, 2007 - 2:22 PM LA Clippers (7-12) at New Jersey (9-12) 7:30 pm EST

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) - The New Jersey Nets hope their home dominance of the Los Angeles Clippers will help snap a three-game losing streak when the two teams meet on Tuesday.

The Nets have won eight straight games against the Clippers in New Jersey dating to January 15, 1998.

However, New Jersey has lost seven of its last eight games on its home floor this season after winning their first three contests at the Izod Center.

Jason Kidd had his 92nd career triple-double in the Nets' 104-89 loss to Washington on Sunday, while Vince Carter topped the 30-point mark for the second straight game on 11-of-17 shooting.

The Clippers have struggled as well, losing eight of their last nine games, including a 100-94 setback to the Miami Heat on Sunday.

However, Chris Kaman has been stellar for Los Angeles, recording five straight double-doubles. Kaman is averaging 18.5 points and 13.7 rebounds this season, while Corey Maggette leads the team in scoring at 20.6 points per contest.
