Sixers aim for fifth consecutive win
Dec 14, 2007 - 2:28 PM Sacramento (8-13) at Philadelphia (9-13) 7:00 pm ESTPHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Andre Iguodala and the Philadelphia 76ers figure to have a good chance to extend their winning streak against the NBA's worst road team.
The surging Sixers shoot for their fifth straight win Friday when they host the Sacramento Kings.
Andre Iguodala collected 25 points and eight rebounds and Samuel Dalembert added 18, 11 and a season-best nine blocks as the 76ers extended their winning streak with a 98-94 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.
"It's better than a four-game losing streak," 76ers coach Maurice Cheeks said. "We're just trying to go out there and compete every night."
The Sixers have not had a five-game winning streak since winning seven in a row from February 26-March 10.
Philadelphia looks to continue its winning ways against Sacramento, which has dropped three of its last four games and is 0-9 on the road this season.
The Kings stumbled on the opener on their six-game tour of the Eastern Conference with Wednesday's 90-78 setback to the Boston Celtics.
Beno Udrih scored 16 points for Sacramento, which remained the only team in the league without a road win.
