Pistons go for seventh straight at home over Hawks

Dec 14, 2007 - 3:50 PM Atlanta (10-11) at Detroit (15-6) 8:00 pm EST

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) - The Detroit Pistons haven't had that many problems at home against the Atlanta Hawks and they would like to keep it that way.

Detroit has won six consecutive meetings in the series over the Hawks, who haven't won at the Palace of Auburn Hills since an 88-72 victory on December 10, 2004.

Pistons hold a commanding 22-3 at home in the series since the 1995-96 campaign.

Detroit is looking to bounce back after suffering an 80-77 loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday on the road. Rasheed Wallace led three other starters in double figures with 21 points.

The Pistons could be a little shorthanded in this one if forward Antonio McDyess is unable to go after tweaking his left ankle in the loss. He is averaging 10.8 points and 7.2 rebounds.

Atlanta enters after having its three-game winning streak ended at the hands of the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday at Philips Arena despite 23 points each from Joe Johnson and Marvin Williams.

Hawks swingman Josh Childress poured in 13 points off the bench in the his first game back following a brief two-game rest due to a strained groin.
