Timberwolves try to avoid worst start in franchise history

Dec 15, 2007 - 3:43 PM Minnesota (3-18) at Milwaukee (9-13) 8:30 pm EST

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) - The Minnesota Timberwolves try to avoid the worst start in franchise history when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday.

The Timberwolves have lost eight of their last nine games after claiming their second win of the season on November 26, tying the franchise-worst record through 21 games set by the 1991-92 team.

Minnesota has lost its last three-games to Washington, Philadelphia and Seattle by a combined 29 points, failing to score more than 94 points in any of those contests.

The Timberwolves have scored over 100 points just once in its last seven games, claiming a 100-93 victory over the Phoenix Suns last Saturday for just their third win of the season.

The Bucks are looking to correct their own struggles on Saturday when they try to win their fourth straight against the Timberwolves for the first time in franchise history.

After starting the season 7-4, Milwaukee has dropped nine of its last 11 - including a 104-82 setback to the Boston Celtics on Friday.

The Bucks couldn't overcome 20 turnovers and made just 4-of-19 3-pointers against Boston, falling to 0-12 on the season when tied or trailing heading into the fourth quarter.
