Kings look to double road win total against Wizards

Dec 15, 2007 - 3:52 PM Sacramento (9-13) at Washington (12-10) 7:00 pm EST

WASHINGTON (Ticker) - It took 10 games for the Sacramento Kings to win their first game on the road. The Kings will look to double that number on Saturday against the Washington Wizards.

Brad Miller scored 25 points and Mikki Moore added 24 on Friday as Sacramento used a 34-point third quarter to win, 109-99, at Philadelphia. John Salmons scored 19 points and Beno Udrih 15 as the Kings became the NBA's last team to win a road game.

Sacramento entered the game with nine straight road losses to open a season, matching a team record set in 1987-88 and again in 1993-94. The Kings also broke the streak without injured starters Mike Bibby, Kevin Martin and Shareef Abdur-Rahim.

Washington is coming off a 104-91 victory at Miami on Thursday as all five starters scored in double figures.

DeShawn Stevenson scored a season-high 26 points and Caron Butler finished with 19 points and nine rebounds for Washington.

Antawn Jamison had 16 points and 16 rebounds, Brendan Haywood scored 12 points and Antonio Daniels scored 11 as the Wizards improved to 12-4 overall when scoring at least 100 points.

Washington, which has won three straight and five of its last six, is 0-6 in games when not reaching the 100-point mark. The Wizards are 7-4 at home.

Washington has won the last four games against Sacramento and hasn't lost at home to the Kings since the 2004-05 season.
