Boozer, Jazz look to end road skid

Dec 17, 2007 - 2:53 PM Utah (14-11) at Atlanta (11-12) 7:00 pm EST

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Carlos Boozer and the Utah Jazz have been one of the NBA's toughest home teams this season. But they have been anything but tough on the road.

Boozer and the Jazz aim to end their five-game road skid Monday when they visit the Atlanta Hawks in the opener of a four-game East Coast swing.

Utah is 9-2 this season at home but has struggled to a 5-9 road record. The Jazz have lost six of their last seven games overall, including five in a row on the road.

The Jazz finally got back on the winning side of things with their 96-75 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics on Saturday, snapping a season-high six-game slide.

Boozer scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, registering his 19th double-double of the season.

"It's been a long time," Boozer said. "It was good for us."

Things should continue to look up for Boozer and the Jazz, who have swept the season series away from Atlanta the previous four campaigns.

Joe Johnson poured in 31 points and Marvin Williams chipped in 20 as the Hawks earned their third win in five games with Saturday's 93-84 triumph over the slumping Charlotte Bobcats.

The win also saw the return of rookie Al Horford after serving a one-game suspension for his flagrant foul on Toronto's T.J. Ford last week.
