After win over Spurs, Suns hope to shine in Dallas

DALLAS (Ticker) - After winning in San Antonio on Monday, the Phoenix Suns look to complete a two-game sweep in Texas when they take on the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.

The Suns, who own a Western Conference-best 11-4 road record, gave the Spurs their first home loss of the season in the 100-95 victory. Dallas comes into the game with the West's second-best home record at 11-2.

The Suns have six players averaging in double figures, led by Amare Stoudamire's 20.5 points per game. Steve Nash is averaging 17.5 points, a league-leading 12.0 assists, and 14.0 assists this month.

Dallas has won three consecutive games, including a 111-108 home victory over Orlando on Monday.

Josh Howard leads the Mavericks, scoring 21.8 points per game, while Dirk Nowitzki is netting 21.2 points per contest. Nowitzki is coming off his fifth 30-point performance of the season, scoring 31 points in the win over Orlando.

Phoenix has won the last two meetings with Dallas, including a 129-127, double-overtime victory at the American Airlines Center last season.
