Magic look to break out of funk vs. Rockets
Dec 19, 2007 - 2:35 PM Orlando (17-9) at Houston (12-12) 8:30 pm ESTHOUSTON (Ticker) - The Orlando Magic were the NBA's surprise team through 20 games, but things have quickly gone downhill.
The Magic look to reclaim some of their early-season success when they visit the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
Orlando won 16 of its first 20 games, including 11 of its first 13 on the road. However, since defeating Golden State on December 3, the Magic have lost five of their last six - the latest setback being a 111-108 defeat at Dallas on Monday.
It was the fourth time during the six-game span that Orlando has allowed an opponent to score at least 100 points.
The Magic may catch a break as they face the slumping Rockets, who have dropped three of their last four. Houston has been held under 90 points in each of its last four games.
More of a concern for the Rockets - leading scorer Tracy McGrady said this week that has been bothered recently by a sore knee.
