Jazz, Bobcats look to bounce back

Dec 19, 2007 - 2:59 PM Utah (14-12) at Charlotte (8-14) 7:00 pm EST

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) - The slumping Utah Jazz hope to get it right on their second spin through the Eastern Conference.

Utah looks to improve on its dismal road record when it visits the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday.

Considered a possible threat in the Western Conference, the Jazz dropped their eighth game in nine outings with Monday's 116-111 setback to the Atlanta Hawks.

"You've got to play a perfect finish the way we've been playing," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said. "This was not even close to that. We've got to do something where we help each other."

Carlos Boozer had 39 points and 12 rebounds and Deron Williams added 14 and 10 assists in the loss for Utah, which has a 5-10 record on the road.

While Utah endures hard times, the Bobcats have also been on a disappointing slide of their own recently.

Despite getting 24 points from Gerald Wallace, Charlotte dropped its third game in four outings with Saturday's 93-84 setback against the Atlanta Hawks.

Newly acquired Nazr Mohammed scored six points in 19 minutes of action during his Bobcats debut after being acquired from Detroit in exchange for two players last week.
