Sixers seek sixth win in seven games

Dec 19, 2007 - 3:04 PM Philadelphia (10-14) at Indiana (13-12) 7:00 pm EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) - The Philadelphia 76ers are climbing fast and they look to continue that trend against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday.

After having their four-game winning streak snapped, the 76ers bounced back for a 92-86 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday behind 40 combined points from Andre Iguodala and Andre Miller

"That was a team win," said Philadelphia coach Maurice Cheeks, whose club will play 12 of the next 16 games away from home. "Everyone who came in the game was focused."

Sixers center Samuel Dalembert should provide a strong defensive challenge against Indiana's perennial All-Star big man Jermaine O'Neal. The 6-11 Dalembert is averaging 2.5 blocks through 24 games this season.

Mike Dunleavy had a career-high 36 points and seven rebounds and O'Neal scored 22 as the Pacers won for the third time in four games with Monday's 119-92 win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

"(Dunleavy) carried us," Pacers coach Jim O'Brien said. "He was brilliant tonight. He's having a career year. He was just on fire and it was great to see because we needed it."
