Struggling Knicks host Cavaliers

Dec 19, 2007 - 3:14 PM Cleveland (11-14) at New York (7-17) 7:30 pm EST

NEW YORK (Ticker) - The dismal New York Knicks, especially their coach Isiah Thomas, have been under a lot of fire this season.

The play of the team has done nothing to silence the anger from the fans as the Knicks have lost six of their last seven games to fall to the basement of the Eastern Conference.

New York will hope to turn things around when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.

Monday's 119-92 loss to Indiana was the fifth loss of at least 25 points this season, which have New York fans chanting for Isiah's dismissal.

One of the lone bright spots for the Knicks has been Zach Randolph, who in his first year in New York is averaging 18.5 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.

Cleveland, which lost six straight games with LeBron James nursing an injured finger, is coming off a 104-99 overtime victory over Milwaukee on Monday.

James is averaging 29.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 7.7 assists this season, while center Zydrunas Ilgauskas has put up 14.1 points and 10.6 rebounds per contest.

The two teams split the four meetings last season and the Cavaliers posted a 110-106 victory on November 2.
