Jazz aim to end four-year skid vs. Heat

Dec 22, 2007 - 3:46 PM Utah (15-13) at Miami (7-19) 7:30 pm EST

MIAMI (Ticker) - With their road losing streak emphatically squashed, the Utah Jazz look to end four-plus years of misery at American Airlines Arena on Saturday when they meet the Miami Heat.

The Jazz had lost seven straight games away from home until Friday when they downed the Magic, 113-94, to collect their first road win since November 28.

Paul Millsap scored a career-high 28 points off the bench and All-Star forward Carlos Boozer added 24 with nine rebounds and eight assists.

With that streak ended, Utah may be in position to end a second dubious streak - the Jazz have not won at Miami since March 10, 2003. With the way Miami has been playing this season, that may a much easier task than it has been in years past.

The Heat, who are just 3-9 at home, has lost two straight and four of five to fall 12 games below .500 for the first time since the end of the 2002-03 campaign - the season before Dwyane Wade joined Miami.

Wade has averaged 39 points over the last two games, but has been unable to stop the Heat's slide. He poured in 36 points in Miami's 117-111 overtime decision loss on Wednesday at Atlanta, then followed that effort by scoring a season-high 41 in a 107-103 overtime home loss against New Jersey on Thursday.
