Spurs open four-game homestand vs. Clippers

Dec 22, 2007 - 3:55 PM LA Clippers (9-16) at San Antonio (18-7) 8:30 pm EST

SAN ANTONIO (Ticker) - The San Antonio Spurs hope a four-game homestand can get them out of their recent funk when they host the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday.

The defending champions dropped their fourth game in five outings with Wednesday's 88-85 heartbreaking loss to the lowly Memphis Grizzlies.

"We dug a hole that was too deep to get out of," Spurs forward Tim Duncan said. "We just ran out of time, I guess."

San Antonio guard Tony Parker remains questionable with a sprained left ankle. He has missed four straight games due to the injury.

Despite another outstanding performance from Chris Kaman, the injury-plagued Clippers dropped their third straight game with Friday's 102-89 decision at Dallas.

Kaman continues to shine in the paint, registering 21 double-doubles this season - including 11 straight in the month of December.

Clippers second-year big man Paul Davis could be out be for a lengthy time after hurting his right leg in the first half of the loss.
