Warriors finish road trip at Cavaliers
Dec 23, 2007 - 1:49 PM Golden State (15-12) at Cleveland (12-15) 6:00 pm ESTCLEVELAND (Ticker) - The Golden State Warriors aim to finish their East Coast swing on a positive note with Sunday's finale against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
On the four stop of its five-game road trip, Golden State was not able to come through in Saturday's 100-95 setback against the New Jersey Nets. The Warriors fell to 2-2 on the trek.
"There's really not much to say," Warriors coach Don Nelson said. "We weren't very good. We didn't hit shots or play very well. We continue to dig ourselves into a hole in the first quarter and then try to dig ourselves out of it."
Golden State point guard Baron Davis has been less then stellar during this road trip, averaging 14.2 points with 13 turnovers.
LeBron James had 33 points and 10 rebounds to help the Cavaliers finally got back on the winning side of things with Thursday's 94-90 triumph over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Cleveland big man Anderson Varejao, who missed the first month due to a contract dispute, produced his best outing this campaign with season-highs in points (11) and rebounds (15).
On November 6, James fell one assist shy of a triple-double as the Cavaliers escaped with a 108-104 win over the Warriors in the first meeting.
